-What is one drop of water from the fount of Tsao-ch'i?
Fa-yen repied:
-It's... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: LEAVING ZEN
vertical line Posted on May.24.2017 @ 10:37AM EDT by QuantumZen
Good bye. The realization I finally acquired is that zen is yet another means of escape. Pretentious and opaque, unnatural and melancholic... Sit zazen, count your breaths and feel better.

Don't overcomplicate things, live a simple life. Have simple pleasures and moments of contemplation. Have emotions and attachments. Be aware of them and welcome them as they come, don't grief for them as they go. Do the same with people. In general, don't worry, just wonder and be kind to others.

Om.

vertical line If I am not you, and nature is complete with separate mutations, and there are separate mind's altering things, and existence is impermanent through and through, and if thinking were the root cause of duality, and consciousness were limited to space and time... which my impression tells me that [this state] is the comfortable condition between perceiver and perceived where attachment forms in place of 'something' whole-and-integral.

vertical line Deriving desired "persons" from this position eeks big trouble. And there we have the professional phenomenon.

vertical line It's alright to change for others. You reveal a divine attribute to be selfless in your willingness to dissociate your self-image in the spirit of mutual response to the other. Duly you will learn about yourself in the process.
