TOILET IS NEEDED
CT:
A couple of days ago, there was a gentleman - who called himself "the Thieft" - asked the deluded old man the following question:

-Hello Chon Tri, how are you? I hope all is well. All is well.

CT:
-Yes. All is as well as you wish. And you?
-Yes I am alright as well, what are the main sutras that I should read of zen buddhism? thanks.
-Would you like to read your own mind? It is the source of all the sutras in this world.
-Chon Tri, how I have missed your insight!
-No. I do not have any insight as you've said. If there was any insight, it should be yours. And I think now you would like to read your own mind, wouldn't you?
-A gift that has not been wrapped in paper. See you around Chon Tri.

Reading these words of his, the deluded old man said himself, "You are a thief!" And he tried again:

-If you would like to read the sutras in words, you might want to see the list of them at the bottom of the "Zazen Practice, A Guideline for Beginners" on this website. And if you have any further questions, just ask.

However, the gentlman just walked away, without turning his head back over shoulder or spelling out a word.

The deluded old man was really lost.

Visitor 2:
Chon Tri, how are you?I hope youll live a long life.

CT:
Thank for asking. All is well now.

However, there was something happened last week. This deluded old man is getting older moment by moment and his old physical eyes are getting more blurred, he ate some wrong food. Then the food were fighting against each other in his stomach, and the stomach got upset. He got to see the toilet time to time.

At the last time sitting and relaxing on the toilet, suddenly he realized something. This is like many people who have eaten many different kinds of "food for soul", when the "food for soul" are not digested well, their "mental stomach" would get upset very much, because the food have been fighting each other in there, therefore, they would need some kind of "toilet" to let all of those food go out, until none of them left in there and do not eat any of the like again, then they will be O.K. Right?

That was what the deluded old man suddenly realized when he was sitting on the toilet. Because you called yourself the thief, he hopes that you would not steal the toilet, would you?

Visitor 3:
A zen story tells of a student who asked his master, "Please show me zen." The master said, "I have to go relieve myself." Upon returning, the master said, "Zen is like going to the bathroom. I cannot go for you. You have to go for yourself." Rich or poor, famous or anonymous: We all have to go. When nature calls, listen to Nature.

Visitor 3:
Ha ha ... what a nice & wonderful story indeed, SIRS? Dear SIR, do plse maintain the "tiolet" in clean & healthy & useful condition at all times! CHEERS~ No matter how ignorance or stupid I am, now may be I too sense a little bit of what Zen is like or all about. I smell the flavour but not fragrance yet. Like in our daily living life, just maintain eating is eating, standing is standing, sitting is sitting, walking is walking, resting is resting, tioleting is toileting, seeing is seeing, hearing is hearing etc etc etc ... then may be we are in real business~~~ Thanks Steve & ChonTri :-)

Visitor 4:
Yes, i would agree with David here! It is good to keep the toilet clean and in working condition. I do think we look kind of foolish sitting here with our trousers around our ankles! But who is it that looks foolish? Keith
