THE NETWORK OF THOUGHTS
the d.o.m.:
When one perceives something through the senses, thinks and says,
"It's so," then, it would be so - at least - to him.

When one perceives something through the senses, thinks and says,
"It's not so," then, it would be not so - at least - to him.

"It's so" or "It's not so" belongs to the network of thought
- not the thing itself.

The same is when one hears someone else says:
"I would do something differently."
He immediately thinks and assumes:
"That means he won't do the same with what he said before."
What outstanding is this kind of thinking logic!

How could someone like that see what's right in front of him?

Doreen:
If you don't see what is right in front of you, you might trip over it and hurt yourself.
But if you awaken from the fall, then it was worth the pain.

Master Zen:
if one perceives something through the senses, thinks and says, "It's not so" then he is a knucklehead!

Number9:
From the DOM:
""It's so" or "It's not so" belongs to the network of thought - not the thing itself."

I agree. We are all looking at the same world through different colored lenses.

Colorblind people don't even know that they are colorblind until they are tested because even though they have always seen a different color they have always called it by the same name that everyone else does, so they fit right in.

But then, how many of us really see the same thing exactly the same way? Maybe we can't get the tint out of our glasses, but we can at least get them as clean as we can.

justin:
‘How could someone like that see what's right in front of him?’

This person would see things dualistically as an opinion, therefore they see it as it may/ may not be but probably not as it is. Only as it is to him, which Is not the same thing. Unless what they mean by is so, means to them as is.

Master Zen:
this is why the thinking has to stop. Zen is just seeing, not thinking about it, only seeing

justin:
'this is why the thinking has to stop. Zen is just seeing, not thinking about it, only seeing'

This is thinking :)

Lynn:
hot is hot, hot is not hot.

6-10 Chars:
From Lynn hot is hot, hot is not hot

Hop on pop. Sam I am. Cat on the haaaaaaaa...
Hot is hot. Not hot is hotter.

Lynn:
ha ha ha, but what are you trying to say? :)

Master Zen:
KNNUUUUUUCKLLLLLLE!!!!!!!!

zen-zen:
Dear Deluded Old Man, this is a deluded young man speaking. "the network of thought" - you just mentioned it. I think we need to be aware of the activities happening in this network of thought. Otherwise it's difficult to drop it and it's hard to avoid or recognize delusions.

Dear MZ, "Zen is just seeing, not thinking about it, only seeing" Now would you agree it's not only seeing, but also hearing, feeling, tasting and so on? Not just the vision-sense... This is the third approach to an orange.

Number9:
From Master Zen: "this is why the thinking has to stop. Zen is just seeing, not thinking about it, only seeing"

Agreed, what you see is what you get, directly from the Universal Mind to you, so don't even try to make it fit with what someone else gets directly from the Universal Mind also.

What is for you is for you, and what is for someone else is for someone else.
Nothing off the rack, its all tailor made.

zen-zen:
(I can see the TV commercial already)
Tailor-made individual lives and experiences now for free! Only today, place your order right now! Grab the chance and try it out! Just now, right here, not tomorrow or not yesterday, call 0800-EXPERIENCE!

Buhahahaha! :D

justin:
If two beetles in a bottle battle, in a puddle, it would be a beetle pudle battle,......................

Zorbas:
One would say thats the way thing are there. Its O.K.! Ha Ha Ha Ha!

zen-zen:
My tongue gets knotted and doesn't stretch into that sentence :D

Woodsman:
Try your tail next time.

stephen:
"How could someone like that see what's right in front of him?"

By closing his eyes and counting his breaths.

zen-zen:
"How could someone like that see what's right in front of him?"

The same way I do?

How about this variation: "How does one learn to see what's right in front of him?"

justin:
"How does one learn to see what's right in front of him?"
hmmmm, Opening eyes and counting breaths?

Master Zen:
look?

justin:
Very big grin at MZ,

zen-zen:
Yep, MZ. Not everyone looks.
