 STUDYING THE WAY When men of old studied the Way of the Buddha, the more they practiced the less they had until nothing left anywhere, inside or outside. Then they were like the light that shines. When men of today study the Way of the Buddha, the more they study the more they have until there is no more room for their breaths come in and go out freely. Then they are like balloons which lose their air and may fall down at any time. This is the difference between men of old and men of today in studying of the Way of the Buddha.
