One day Yao-shan Wei-yen (750-834), one of the well-known Chinese Ch'an master,
was asked by the host of the monastery to give his sermon to the assembly who

When one looks at things, sees them as they are, he does not get stuck with them.
And when he is himself - just empty - he does not get stuck with the emptiness.
This is called Samadhi.
